Kenny Barron - Mr. Barron was a guest artist at MSU and got to spend the most wonderful week with him. Weather was not good that week and had events cancelled due to snow, ice, and really cold temps. It's been the only time I've ever been thankful for snow and cold because we couldn't go to the school, we ended up doing a radio interview and I basically got a solo concert sitting 2 ft from the piano. A moment I will never forget. Mr. Barron was so kind and generous and truly is one of the great pianist of jazz history! 

Mark Byerly- Mark is a great trumpeter who has played with so many people! Mark mixed my last CD and I could not have been happier. He worked so hard to get it right with such varied recordings. I felt we were always on the same page and cannot wait to work with him again on the next one. And is an amazingly nice cat!!!!

Jocelyn Gould - Jocelyn is an amazing guitarist doing amazing things now. We met at MSU and couldn't be more happy for all the success she is having now! 

Jamie - Leigh Schultz - a great young drummer part of the family band The J.L.S Experience

Dan Bryska - An important figure in both my musical and spiritual development. He let me sit in every week despite being even sadder than I am now. We had many a late night talk about life! 

Elijah Cosby - Whew! Where to begin? Elijah is one of my nephews! I probably get to spend the most amount of time with Elijah because we share a love of jazz and even better I get to work with him on drums. Elijah is everything you could ever hope for in a person and my love for him runs deep! So honored to be your Uncle! Love you Lij!

Evan Hyde - There are some great families of jazz from Grand Rapids and the Hyde family is one of them. Evan is a great drummer and great guy! 

John Sneider - We were members of the McDonalds All-American Jazz Band. So happy to see all his success over the years! 

Al Grey - One of the all time great Trombonists! Taken here at a swing summit at the North Sea Jazz Festival!

Monty Alexander - One of the most swingin' pianist ever!

Pete Mills - Pete is a great saxophonist living in Columbus, OH and is always so kind when I make my way down there.

Enoch Johnson - My Father In Law - Wish I had more time with him. A great man and hero. I had fun interviewing his platoon friends and hearing some amazing stories about him! Miss Him!
