Rayse and Matty

​Sorry to hear about two passings of individuals in Detroit. First, Rayse Biggs. I only had the pleasure to play with him once but he was very kind to me. I know he had influenced so many trumpet players and the Detroit jazz community is hurting.
Then Matt Lee! We hired Matty as our publicist at MSU Jazz. He drove me nuts at first because I didn’t get him. Lol Then I figured him out and we became friends! He was such a hard worker and I ended up really enjoying working with him!
I will always remember how kind he was to me when Talia passed! I saved his phone message and just listened to it. He had such a good heart and I will miss him!
