Jimmy Forrest - Very close to being my all time favorite saxophonist. I wish I had a picture with him. Heard him twice. He played at Northview and I sat mesmerized with my portable cassette player and I can still sing every note he played. Residing in Grand Rapids made him a hometown hero to me. I don't know if there is a more soulful saxophonist!
